Gemini App Allows Call and Message Sending Without Unlocking Your Phone

Communicating via AI.

Google's AI assistant, Gemini, is introducing a new feature that simplifies managing calls and texts. Soon, you'll be able to make calls or send texts without unlocking your phone, thanks to this AI-powered functionality.

To activate this feature, go to "Gemini Settings > Gemini on Lock Screen" and enable the "Make calls and send messages without unlocking" option, according to 9to5Google. The feature is gradually rolling out and may not yet be available to all users.

This update is part of the latest Google app release, designed to streamline daily tasks without the hassle of unlocking your phone. If privacy is a concern, you have the option to keep this setting turned off.

Google has been enhancing Gemini and integrating it across its products. For example, the company is reportedly developing a feature that lets users interact with the AI to search for files, recordings, and images. This would allow you to ask Gemini to help find a specific photo or document on your device that you're having trouble locating.

Clearly Gemini is a priority for the tech giant. So much so that you might find Gemini already active inside your brand new laptop.
